• Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
  • Psalm 7:17 I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High.
  • 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
  • Psalm 145:3 Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.

Praise needs to be from the heart—from your heart to God’s. The Word says in Psalm 34:1: “his praise will always be on my lips”. Praise Him anytime, anyplace. He is well deserving of it.

How to give God praise:
  1. We can give God praise verbally. Hebrews 13:15 states: “Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.”
  2. Praise God continually throughout the day by acknowledging His greatness. Psalm 34:1 states: “I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.”
  3. Praise God at church with brothers and sisters in Christ. Psalm 35:18 states: “I will give you thanks in the great assembly; among the throngs I will praise you.”
  4. We can sing praise to God. Psalm 69:30 states: “I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.”
  5. In your prayer closet, take time to praise God from a place of reverence. Get on your knees as an act of worship and submission and just praise Him.
  6. Pray in the Spirit as an act of worship. Do as in Acts 2:11 – pray in tongues and declare the wonders of God.
